East Nusa Tenggara is one of the eastern provinces of Indonesia. East Nusa Tenggara has 1192 islands. The most exotic tourist spots in East Nusa Tenggara include Komodo Island and Kelimutu Lake. Komodo Island is famous for its Komodo Dragon which is one of the earliest animals left, while Lake Kelimutu is famous for its three colored lake. Lake Kelimutu has three different lakes of water color, the difference is caused by different geological conditions.
Besides having a large number of islands, East Nusa Tenggara also has various cultures and languages. Each island, from Flores, Sumba, Timor, Alor, Rote, Sabu and other islands have different languages and different cultures. Even within the same island, the local language can be different. For example, Timor Island, South Timor’s regional language differs from East Amarasi (Amfoang), with North Central Timor, even with Timor Betun (Atambua).
As an archipelago province, Nusa Tenggara Timur is surrounded by vast oceans. Therefore, East Nusa Tenggara also has a variety of beaches whose beauty is not less than the beaches in Bali and Nusa Tenggara Barat. On Timor Island there are several beaches with panoramic viewing spots such as Wini Beach, Kolbano Beach, Lasiana Beach, Tablolong Beach, Oetune Beach. On the island of Flores there is Pink Beach, park 17 sea, Koka Beach. In Sumba Island there is Nihiwatu Beach which enter the top 20 most beautiful beaches in the world, Bwana Beach, in Rote there Nembrala Beach which is often a place of international surfing event every September – October.
